Last week I went to Paris with my family! It was absolutely amazing. I saw many things that are famous and important and ‘must-sees’ for new visitors to Paris. We went to Versailles for part of a day, we went to the top of the Eiffel Tower, we saw the Arc de Triomphe, we went to the Moulin Rouge.
One thing I didn’t expect to see was Foucault’s Pendulum. When he first did the experiment, obviously it was dismantled once he had proved his point. It was redone years later to prove his point once again, but this experiment too was dismantled. Apparently they set up another one, not to prove anything but to leave a constant reminder of his work. This means I got to see Foucault’s Pendulum, which I didn’t know I could.
